Revlon Beyond Natural

Hello.. It's my first english written review. Hope I can make a lot of more english writing in the future!

This time I'd make a review post on Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup. This product is more of a tinted moisturizer as it goes on pretty sheer on me. I've been using this product since over a year ago. I think it's okay because the PAO symbol reads 24M.

Okay, start with product description. It comes in a tube of 30ml, mine was shade 220 which is light-medium. It has SPF 15 and contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as their active ingredients. It claims to covers imperfection and evens out skin tone. The product should self adjust to your skin tone as it's patented micro-color beads breaks upon application. Hmm, this is something new.. So at first it goes on white with speckles of pigments, but as it blends the micro-color beads breaks and gives you the color. And here's the product

And here's what i mean by micro-color beads..

Ohh, it's white with tiny pigment spots..

Hmm, still white..

Ahhaa, so this supposed to match my skintone...

From my experience of using this, I say it gives me sheer coverage. It should be okay if you have minor skin problem, but I wouldn't recommend this if you have blemishes or an obvious discoloration. For the longevity, surprisingly it survived my daily working hour! And I really have to use make up remover to clean it up, not just an ordinary face wash. As for oil control, I don't have oily skin, but if you have oily skin then this may not suit you cos it doesn't have oil controlling properties.

As for the skin matching technology, honestly I don't really buy that because in my face it tends to oxidize when applied heavily and make my skin looks darker. At first I was like 'ohh maybe the shade is too dark for me', but after a while then I realize that it does oxidize in my skin. However, I still like this product when I just want something light on my face. I applied it thinly thus it won't be that much darker after few hours. And here's what I mean by that..

Notice how it got darker after few hours..

So, pros and cons..

Pros:

  • Budget friendly, although I can't remember how much I paid for it, haha
  • It has SPF 15
  • It stays quite a long time in my face
Cons:
  • It oxidizes in my face!
  • I don't really like their micro-color bead thing, it got me guessing 'oh maybe this is the right color' but then after blending it a while, it turns out to be darker then my skin. I just don't like the guessing part.

Conclusion, will I repurchase? No.. I'd rather use BB cream instead. But I would recommend this for teens who's still a beginner in make up that doesn't want that heavy coverage nor expensive purchase. Hope that helps, until then TTFN!!

Wida
